Volunteers are the life blood of the group and without them the group would not exist.  It is their tireless hard work and effort that makes the group and the fleet such a success.  Such is their success that they are often invited back year after year to events within the waterway and across the country.

To become a volunteer is simple.  All you need is as little or as much time as you can spare and an interest in historic working boats and their history.  You can be a novice or an expert – everyone welcome.  Young (over 18) or old there is plenty for all to learn and for all to get involved with.

In order to become a volunteer
Under 18 subscriptions – you will need to subscribe with and be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times and are not permitted to volunteer alone. You will be the responsibility of the nominated adult at all times. There are certain tasks that you will be unable to do. As a volunteer you must comply with all BW policies that are imposed.

All BW volunteers must agree by signing a volunteer agreement to comply with BW safety policies and follow the BW management of Volunteers Directive.

£20 for 12 months subscription
£30 for 12 months joint subscription (you must reside at the same address)
