Sponsor a working boat

Every boat in our fleet is maintained by skilled volunteers. But it takes materials and resources to ensure each craft is restored to the very highest authentic standard. You or your business can help by sponsoring a vessel and making it the pride of your company.

Subsidise educational trips for your community

One of the greatest benefits of the heritage working boats is they can become an exciting educational tool for children. They can promote an interest in history, an understanding and pride in their local environment as well as supporting the teaching of the national curriculum. However, in some case financial constraints mean children miss out on this opportunity. By sponsoring an educational trip we can arrange to bring working boats to all children, whatever their circumstance.

The Heritage Working Boats website has recently been redeveloped and allows businesses to sponsor pages or sections. As a company you would secure banner advertising, combined with a link to your own website whilst publically supporting an important cause, which is closed allied to industry.

Make a donation

As with all groups with little secured funding, we depend on the support of others to continue our work. We believe that the work we carry out is vital in protecting the heritage of Britain. There is currently renewed interest in the canal network and a chance to re-establish canals and their craft in such as way as to ensure their preservation for the future. Canals were at one time the life blood of industry, they shape much of the British landscape and can be an important asset to communities.
